The Corner Table is a short film produced by Mac Productions, Mumbai. The film was shot on location at The Pantry Cafe in Kala Ghoda and some landmark streets and locations in Mumbai.
This is the second short film after the award winning short ' The Last Marble' for Director, Manjari Makijany. The film features Padma Shri Award winning actor, Tom Alter and introduces theatre actor Vinati Makijany, and Pushtiie Shakti plays a cameo.
A heartwarming story about a cafe waitress who finds a friend for life in one of her regular customers.
Aisha, is a 23 year old waitress who works at ‘The Pantry’. Friendly with most customers but a private person otherwise, she finds a sweet strange connection with an old foreigner who is visiting India after almost 24 years.
He soon becomes a regular at the cafe, spending most of his time sipping on different teas and writing. A journey they take one night to see the city reveals many layers to their personalities. What really brings this retired writer back to Mumbai? What is it that he is seeking in India? Watch this short film to explore and understand the complexities of human relationships.
